How do I book my first appointment?
Oleander Chiropractic recently moved to an online booking and documentation system. To book a new patient appointment with us, you can press "Book Now" in the top right corner of your webpage, or you can call or office at (910) 799-9700 to discuss the process with one of our friendly staff members! What should I expect for my first appointment?
At Oleander Chiropractic, we pride ourselves on catering your plan of care to your personalized needs and symptoms. At your first visit, you will have a private 20-30 minute consulation with Dr. Branco. During this appointment, you'll get to know the doctor and have an in-depth conversation about your health history, current symptoms, and future goals, whether they be managing pain to allow you to spend more time with your family and friends, restoring physical fitness to return to work or athletics, or simply returning to feel "like yourself again" . Additionally, the doctor will perform a brief examination to test your reflexes, range of movement, and other metrics of physiological health. During this consultation, Dr. Branco will recommend a plan of care for you, ensuring that your input is considered throughout the process.Other imaging may be necessary to determine the root cause of your symptoms. X-ray imagery is provided within the office and x-rays may be taken if both you and the doctor deem them necessary.
After your consultation, Dr. Branco will begin treatment immediately if appropriate. Chiropractors use various sophisticated techniques, and the specific procedure to be used will be determined and explained completely to you following your evaluation. That said, all procedures are designed to be non-invasive and aim to relieve pain, not worsen it.
What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
Before seeing Dr. Branco, you will need to fill out a brief packet of paperwork. We promise it's on the shorter side! Upon booking your first appointment, our online scheduling system should email you our new patient paperwork. Alternatively, you can fill out the paperwork on paper by downloading it at this link, or in-person at the office prior to your first visit. If you're planning to pay with insurance, please bring your insurance card and a form of identification (driver's license, etc) to your appointment as well. How do I know if chiropractic care is right for me?
Chiropractic care is designed to work in synthesis with the body's natural processes. Therefore, chiropractic care is a popular option for maintenence care and pain management. That said, sometimes chiropractic care is sometimes better off supplemented with traditional medical care or other forms of holistic healing. Dr. Branco collaborates with many local orthopedists, physical therapists, acupuncturists, radiologists, and physicians to ensure that you will receive the appropriate treatment for your pain, even if chiropractic care isn't the best route for you at this time. Even if you choose not to proceed with chiropractic care after your initial appointment, your consultation with Dr. Branco will glean valuable insights from a professional on your best path towards healing.
